Families of 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade Students

We will be administering SOL tests to students in the areas of Reading and Math and 5th Grade students will also take the Science SOL Test.

What is the purpose of SOL testing?

SOL results inform parents and communities about whether students are meeting the commonwealth’s expectations for achievement in English, mathematics, science, and history. SOL tests allow the state Board of Education to identify schools that need assistance and support. The assessments also provide an objective means for measuring achievement gaps between student subgroups and for determining the progress of schools, divisions, and the state toward closing these gaps.

Virtual Student Test Schedule

Families will drop off students at 9:00 AM in front of the building and testing will begin at 9:45 AM.   Students will be served breakfast upon arrival and lunch before they leave school.   Students should be picked up at 1:00 PM in the bus loop.

What do students need to bring with them on the day of the test?

Students need to bring their school-issued laptops and charging cord.  Please make sure the laptop has been charged the evening before.
