Advisory Council 2025-26
The Neabsco Principal's Advisory Council (PAC) is a dedicated group of parents and staff members focused on improving school practices, monitoring the school's budget, reviewing progress toward school goals, and bringing in concerns from the community.
Mission
The mission of Neabsco Elementary School PAC is to implement best practices that lead to continual:
- improvement of student learning and achievement.
Accordingly, the PAC supports Neabsco Elementary School’s mission by advising the principal on:
- issues relative to achieving the school's goals through the development, implementation, and evaluation of the CIP.

Meeting Location
Meetings will be held in the school Library and via Zoom. Meeting locations may be adjusted to a different classroom due to events held in the library or to a larger room based on the number of attendees during that meeting.
Meeting Agendas
Meeting agendas will consist of updates from the school, a focus for the month (such as budget, academic growth, attendance data, new curriculum, resources, etc), and an opportunity for representatives to share school-based and/or community-based issues and concerns.

• Hybrid setup in Room 307 for in-person and Zoom
• Introduction: Ms. Levecchi opens with an introduction, welcoming families, and
celebrations of students’ success and interventions in place. “Instructional

o Ms. Levecchi updated on data to include overall enrollment total, EL
students, students with disability, gifted, and demographics

o Ms. Larimore updated on attendance data and strategies put in place to drive
down chronic absenteeism

• High Quality Instructional Materials

o Currently offered 3 days morning and afternoon; 1 day of clubs

March 21, 2025 - Meeting Minutes
Notes:
- Meeting was called to order at 5:36 by Mrs. LeVecchi
- LeVecchi shared Middle of the Year (MOY) updates:
- Growth in HMH for students
- Reduction in the number of students identified as high risk, especially in 3rd grade
- On-track to meet our stated goals related to academic progress
- Teachers are engaged in a variety of professional learning activities to support continued student growth including vertical alignment and a book study
- Attendance: The number of students absent increased during the winter months (~13% chronically absent as of 3/19/25). Attendance remains a focus! We want to continue to partner with to make sure that students are present every day and continue to make academic progress.
- Cooper & Ms. Larimore shared information about the school counseling program:
- Roles of the school counselor
- Mission and vision of Neabsco school counselors is to prepared students to be successful in middle school, high school and beyond
- School counselors use data sources such as needs assessments, PWCS surveys, academic data attendance data and counseling requests to determine how to support students
- Monthly classroom lessons are based on PWCS School Counseling Playbook
- Overview of the Zones of Regulation
- Individual counseling sessions referral process
- Short term (once a week for 6 weeks)
- Parents and staff can refer students
- Students participate based on mutual consent (parent & student)
- Small group counseling topics this year have included: attendance, family changes, Girls on the Run, interpersonal / intrapersonal skills (4th grade boys knitting group), friendship building, growth mindset
